Structural
Drawings of the yacht structure, including shape and dimensions, special reinforcements, laminate etc, are given by the architect that designed the boat. But sometimes, some parts of the boat need to be redefined to fit the owner desire. Adding a hard-top or even a flybridge, lengthen or widen transom… In Serenity shipyard, we will draw what our customer need but without hesitate to contact an architect for structural aspects like reinforcements and laminate when it oversteps our skills. This way, we ensure that we are responding to the owner needs in the best and safest conditions.
Interior arrangements
Usually, general layout is also given by the architect. For custom models it generally fits the owner desires, but it may not be the case for series model.
In this case, we discuss with the owner to understand what he needs and how he wants to use his boat. Initially we draw several versions to make a definitive choice, and only when the general layout is chosen we deepen the drawings room by room.
At this stage we have to decide in consultation with the owner which style he likes, colors and materials, equipment etc so we will be able to design according to his needs and tastes. Here again we will have to go through several versions to refine and refine until the drawing is definitively accepted.
This process can seems long, but it is actually the only way to make sure the owner will feel good in a yacht that will meet perfectly his expectations.
